Apartment Project, which is established by Selda Asal in 1999, is one of the first artist run spaces based in Istanbul and Turkey. Apartment project; which was started for interdisciplinary sharing, communion production and exhibiting opportunities; had been an open platform for solo exhibitions of artists and creative people from Turkey and abroad, interdisciplinary partnerships, presentations, and panel discussions. In this context AP, organized mobile studio practices also with the participation of initiatives in Southern Caucus and Balkan countries.

European Mediterranean Art Association (EMAA) aims at sharing ideas on art by breaching the barriers erected by economical and political conundrums to artistic creativity and production, as well as uniting artists, art devotees and enthusiasts to institutionalize for a stronger voice. EMAA was established in 2002 and EMAA Capital Art Center in 2010. With the support of the EU, EMAA had implemented a two-year contemporary art education programme along with its partner organization, The Cyprus Chamber of Fine Arts (E.KA.TE). EMAA Capital Art Center offers workshops, seminars, young artists development programmes and exhibitions to members of Turkish and Greek communities. With all its activities, publications, bi-communal art events and international events, EMAA is the first non-profit institutionalized art organization in Northern part of Cyprus.

The association Uqbar – Gesellschaft fur Repräsentationsforschung e.V. (Society for Representation Research) aims to promote contemporary art and culture, and above all implement,support and host projects which dedicate themselves to the research and promotion of experimental, interdisciplinary artistic and cultural practices in an international context. Uqbarʼs main focus is contemporary art and cultural education. Ideas and projects for Uqbar are developed in a continuous dialogue within the collective and with the artists and the partners involved.
